2017 Dope Cup Recap

The Oregon Dope Cup is one of our most anticipated events of the year. It’s our annual opportunity to connect with a large number of budtenders, club owners, patients, fans and industry leaders. This year we had a lot to share, from Squib updates to new products and partnerships. We also used this opportunity to enter a number of our products in the annual competition, all of which were blind judged by the Trichrome Institute. This was a big year for us to enter a number of new products for the blind judging. Of the nine entries we submitted, from edibles to extracts to a sublingual, five received first or second place.

Our most exciting news to share at this year’s Dope Cup was the announcement of the Lunchbox Alliance – a unique partnership with the Oregon cannabis farms who share a passion for crafting only the finest goods. To launch the alliance, we partnered with neighboring Bend company, Phantom Farms. Together, we focused on producing a Live Resin with unique strain lineage and terpene preservation as our primary focus. Two of these limited edition strains swept the Live Resin category at Dope Cup: Lemon Pina x Monkey Train (2nd place) and Cascade Lemonade (1st place).

Best Live Resin: Cascade Lemonade

Best Shatter – Runner Up: Green Ribbon

Best Live Resin – Runner Up: Lemon Pina Monkey Train

Best Tincture, Sublingual, Capsule or Spray: Trokie

Best Wax – Runner Up: Hawaiian Dutch PHO

Shrapnel was a lifesaver for me. I have to hold Shrapnel, at the very least, partially responsible for my recovery from opiates.

I’m so obsessed with the squibs. They are so perfect in serving, and taste good. [They are] the only edible that has worked for me. Thank you so much for that.

-Heather P.

Lunchbox Alchemy is one of my favorites! I have an anxiety disorder that I use cannabis to treat, and LBA has a variety of products to meet my needs.
