Cannabinoid Content

Test results indicate which cannabinoids are the most abundant in any given strain. While dozens of cannabinoids are found in a single strain, four cannabinoids in particular are used to calculate the Total THC and Total CBD of any cannabis product: ∆9THC, THCA, CBD and CBDA.  For every cannabinoid, there is a detection limit, known as a LOQ. In some instances, a particular cannabinoid content is so small, it’s below the detection limit. Cannabinoids with a <LOQ are not represented.

Terpene Profiles

Each and every cannabis strain will have a slightly different terpene profile. Two plants of the same strain, from the same grower can even have slightly varying terpene profiles based on how the plant was bred, grown, harvested, cured and extracted. However, some consistencies always remain true. For example, a pure indica should have more mycrene, a terpene with a pine aroma and sedative-like properties, than a sativa. A pure sativa will test higher in uplifting terpenes such as linalool and limonene, giving off a clean, energetic and citrusy-scent.
